Dr. Jason Jacobson, Vice President, Director of Methods & Analysis
Jason has been with Q & A Research since 1997. He is responsible for analyzing and writing up the results of the research projects and presenting the results to clients. Additionally, he often consults with clients up front to determine the most appropriate and robust research design and questionnaire. He is proficient in a full range of advanced statistical techniques, including choice modeling, segmentation, and regression analyses. He also has an in-depth knowledge of consumer behavior and psychology, marketing, and business strategy from the academic, theoretical, and practical/business world perspectives. His education includes Bachelor Degrees in Marketing and Economics from Southern Oregon University, a Master of Management degree with an emphasis in Marketing and Statistics from Willamette University, and a Doctorate degree in Business from Golden Gate University. He is an adjunct professor at GGU, teaching Marketing Research in the MBA program. Prior to coming to Q & A, Jason was a Research Analyst in the consumer marketing industry, developing explanatory and predictive regression models for consumer purchase behavior. Jason strives to provide clients as much insight as possible into research objectives and develop strategic, actionable, and user-friendly results.

Carmen Montes-Stanley, Vice President, Tabulation Services
Carmen joined Q & A in 1996. She adds 20 years of prior experience, including Managing Director and Director of Marketing for a major marketing research and software development firm. Since joining the Q & A team, Carmen has ascended the ranks from Supervisor of Information Services to her current assignment as Vice President of Tabulation Services. Her research specialties are in polling, health care, and high-tech research. Her extremely high standards, banner design skills, and comprehensive understanding of cross-tabulation issues make her an indispensable component of Q & A's success.

Shauna VanSteen, Vice President, Director of Quality Control
Shauna joined Q & A in 1995 after 16 years in the banking industry. In her time at Q & A, she has managed focus groups and related recruiting efforts as well as interviewing, coding, and verbatim staff. She is currently directing Q & A's Quality Control team. Shauna and her staff ensure project accuracy from beginning to end, testing CATI programs and online surveys, verifying deliverable files and proofing reports. Her goal, as is Q & A's, is to provide clients with quality, accurate research data.

Aaron Bellante, IT Systems Administrator
Aaron is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), with MS certification in Exchange Server as well. He has over 23 years of experience repairing and programming computers and over 15 years of Network Administration experience. He joined Q & A Research in the summer of 2005 as the IT Manager and Technology Specialist. He also is our Network Administrator.

Elena Gonzalez, Vice President, Data Collection Manager
Elena is a seasoned Q & A veteran, having started with Q & A back in 1993. She was hired as a data entry clerk and has since ascended the executive ladder to become manager of both the Data Entry and Mail Room departments. Her talents don't stop there. Elena is completely bi-lingual, conducting interviews in both English and Spanish, as well as translating questionnaires to and from both languages. Elena has her Associates Degree in Computer Applications from Heald College.

Bette Herrin, Human Resources and Accounting Manager
Having completed her education at Millikin University and Wichita State University, Bette spent several years in the accounting departments of law firms and construction companies. Bette joined FHMR as their accounting manager in 1988. Over the years she had the opportunity to also be involved in several other areas of the company such as human resources, phone center recruiter and phone center supervisor. Bette joined the Q & A team in February, 2008 and was involved in the financial details of this acquisition while supervising the move of the Accounting and Human Resources departments from California to our Kansas location.

Garvin Lum, Data Operations Manager
Garvin joined Q & A Research, Inc. in 2000 after receiving his B.S. in computer science from the University of California, Davis. He started off writing internal applications for the company that helped improve efficiency of the day-to-day tasks. His responsibilities quickly expanded and he became involved with many aspects of quantitative services. Some of them include web survey programming, data processing, and sample processing. He also helps out the IT department with various PC and network maintenance. With his years of experience, he has risen through the ranks and is now one of the leaders of the programming team.

Theresa Streppone, Data Operations Manager
Theresa joined Q & A Research's team in 2005 after spending 2 years in the industry as a Lead Programmer and Project Coordinator. Originally hired as a data programmer, Theresa quickly worked her way up to Data Operations Manager. Her range of responsibilities spans both her day-to day programming operations as well as participation in the scheduling and organizational processes of Q & A's programming staff. She also serves as an intermediary between the firm's project management team and programming department. Theresa attended Rutgers University where she received her B.S. in electrical engineering from Rutgers, School of Engineering.

Jim Blachowicz, Data Operations Manager
Jim joined Q & A Research’s team in 2010 as Data Operations Manager. Prior to that, he spent 12 years in the market research industry as the manager of Research Information Services overseeing the Programming and IT Departments. In addition to his daily programming responsibilities at Q & A, Jim assists in the scheduling and organizational processes of the programming department. Jim recently received his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Medaille College. Prior to that, he attended the State University of New York at Buffalo where he received his B.A. in Mathematics, with a concentration in Computer Science.
